Clubs and Extra Curricular

“I joined a club, tried something new and now it’s one of my favourite things!”

At The John Wallis Church of England Academy, we want every child to discover new interests, build confidence and find something they really enjoy.

Our Primary enrichment programme gives children the chance to try new things, make friends and develop talents beyond the classroom. That might mean joining a sports club, singing in the choir, getting creative with art and craft, learning to play chess, dancing, gardening, building and making, or discovering a brand-new hobby.

Through clubs, trips, performances, competitions and special experiences, children learn to work as a team, keep going when things are difficult, be creative, take on responsibility and have fun.

Some children will choose activities they already love. Others might discover something they never knew they were good at.

We want every child to have the chance to say: “I joined a club and tried something new."

Because a great Primary education is about more than what happens in lessons. It is about helping children discover their interests, grow in confidence and experience just how big their world can be.

In Primary we run over 35 extra-curricular clubs and an additional 10+ clubs/interventions focused on Academic support and intervention. Please find the full offer below.
