Welcome from the Principal
Welcome to the John Wallis Church of England Academy.
We are an all-through Academy serving children and young people from their earliest months in Nursery through to Sixth Form. That gives us something very special: the opportunity to know, support and inspire young people throughout the whole of their educational journey.
Our vision is simple: Together we ignite in everyone the knowledge, aspiration and spirit to shape lives full of purpose and opportunity.
We are unapologetically ambitious for every child. We want our pupils to achieve exceptional academic outcomes, but education at John Wallis is about much more than examination results. We want young people to leave us confident, curious and compassionate; ready to contribute, to lead and to live life in all its fullness.
As a Church of England Academy, our work is rooted in the words of Jesus in John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
We are proudly inclusive. We believe that background, circumstance or additional need should never place a ceiling on what a young person can achieve. Every child should feel known. Every child should feel that they belong. Every child should be challenged to become more than they thought possible.
Our ambition is to make school unmissable: through brilliant teaching, a powerful sense of belonging and experiences that open young people's eyes to the world beyond the Academy gates.
John Wallis is a school with enormous heart and enormous ambition. We are proud of how far we have come, but even more excited about where we are going.
